My experiences in Writing 2

Writing 2 was one of my subjects that I
studied in the third semester. It was taught by Mrs. Leni Marlina, S.S., M. A.
and Mr. Muhammad Anshar. Both of them
were new for me because I never studied with them before. However, I had ever
heard about Mrs. Leni Marlina from Prof. Drs. H. Zainil, Dip. TEFL, B.A, M.A.,
Ph. D., who was one of my lecturers in Reading 1, last semester. He said that she used to be one of his
students and she was studying in Australia. Therefore, I never saw her since I
came to college until the end of my second semester. When I filled my study’s
schedule, I saw her name as one of my Writing 2 lecturers. Perhaps it would be
a good experience when I met and studied with her. By studying writing 2 with
Mrs. Leni Marlina, I got a number of experiences included unpleasant and pleasant experiences.
There were
several unpleasant experiences that I got. For example, I only spent my time just to finish my
writing 2 assignments; as a result, I ignored my assignments from other
subjects. Also, I spent a lot of money on it because I should print my writing
assignments out for many times. Not only that, but also I did not have enough
time to sleep because writing assignments needed many ideas that I was able to
create at night.
However, there were several pleasant
experiences that I got. For instance, I knew how to write a kind of texts such
as discussion text, narrative text and review text started from making the
outline until published it. Not only that, but also Mrs. Leni Marlina courage me to write because if we practiced more, we would get more. I used to write
anything and kept it in mind, but since I studied with Mrs. Lina, I learned how
to make a good writing by asking others’ opinion. For instance, by asking my classmates’
opinion about my writing. In addition, I was capable to make my own blog
account because I used to uninterested in having private blog. So, I could
share my writings like free writing essay, discussion text and narrative text
which I learned in this third semester into my blog.
From three projects that had been
published, I think my third project is the best one. It began from making the
outline. When Mrs. Lina asked us to make the outline first, there was no idea
in my mind. Fortunately, Mrs. Lina allowed us to continue it at home. At home,
exactly at night, I tried to think something that was possible to be discussed.
Suddenly, I remembered to the topic that I debated about with my cousin when I
went home. Then, I looked for the information from many sources in the
internet. After that, I read that information and wrote it in outline form by
using my own words. Next, I developed it into several paragraphs, around six
paragraphs. After I finished it, I collected
it to Mrs. Lina and she asked me to copy it then asked my classmates’ opinion
about my writing. After they finished
checking my discussion text, they returned it to me and it was my turn to look
over my writing based on my classmates’ opinion. I also added some new ideas in
the certain paragraph to make it clearer. I did it for two times. Finally, I
got the final project of my discussion text that was called The Third Revision
then I published it in my blog account, megagusnayenti.blogspot.com.
In
conclusion, those all were my experiences during studied Writing 2 with Mrs.
Lina in this third semester. Involving unpleasant experiences such as spent much
money and time. The pleasant experiences were also included on it such as I
knew how to write a good writing started from making the outline even published
it into my private blog; therefore, I could finish all my writings and got the
best one which was discussion text.
